Time is really flying. This week was a busy one. I had a lot of Ambassador events. On Friday, I was at the temple till midnight helping prep for the Kids Diwali Celebration. The Kids Diwali Celebration is a thing we have been doing for years where we do activities with kids. This year's theme was a jungle theme, so we all wore safari hats and binoculars. My sister and I gave a mini tour of the jungle (we had trees, grass, and animals). Being a SOL really helped me give an amazing tour that made the parents and kids smile. For lunch and dinner it was a fasting day so everything was potatoes, which I didn't mind at all cause potatoes are life! Halloween was also this past Thursday. I spent it doing a lab report and passing out candy to kids. We also ordered pizza!
School: This week in school was not too busy. I found out I got an 80 on the second Organic Chemistry Exam, which I thought was not possible, so that was definitely my highlight.
Student Ambassadors: My Monday started out with Welcome Desk and then the Diversity is Beautiful Event. Kirsten and I basically told students to nominate a professor or faculty member that displayed inclusion. Tuesday I had an Honors Liaison meeting with Dr. Gioelli. We talked about how to improve it and the application process for future Honors Ambassadors. Wednesday, Brooke and I worked the Halloween Open House in the Writing Center. It was a lot of fun. We ate candy, listened to scary stories, and tried interesting fall flavored ciders. On Friday, Brooke and I worked the French Film Festival. It was a huge turn out. I think it is adorable that lots of community members come out every Thursday and engage in the discussion.
