Week 11

This week was a fun and exciting one. This past Tuesday was Election Day, and it was my first time voting. Luckily there was no line, and I finished within 7 minutes. It was exciting the getting the voting sticker for the first time! Wednesday, I had a hair appointment to get highlights. I was so excited, because I have never done anything like this with my hair. The highlights ended up being so dark brown that my hair looks exactly the same, so I had another appointment Sunday. Sunday, the hairstylist made it lighter, and I love it! Wednesday was also Diwali, and the day after was New Years. Thursday I went to the temple for the new year, and it was awesome eating so much fun and meeting so many new faces. Friday, I saw Halloween. It was a 10/10.

School: This week was a pretty basic week for school. After last week's no Physics week, it was a struggle getting back into Physics for all of us. We also talked about our huge Business Communication final group project. Our group is planning on doing Gender Issues in the Workplace.

Student Ambassadors: Monday was busy. It started off with a tour with Dater High School. Stephanie and I split the group for tours, but I still ended up with 30 students. Luckily, they were a fun group. Next was the Monday welcome desk shift. It was the busiest it has been in a long time. The phone would not stop ringing, which was weird since it was a regular Monday. After that was the meeting. Tuesday I got to help with the SLPDI mock interviews. SLPDI is a program that teaches essential skills and leadership. I did the fall and spring sessions last year. So it was interesting being ball for the interview portion. I got four sweet girls, and I basically had to ask them interview questions and had to pick the best candidate (it was hard). They even asked me questions about improving their elevator speeches and how to not be nervous. Wednesday, Valerie and I signed in students interested in the Rad Tech program.
