I went to Milwaukee, Wisconsin for the first time this week. It was for a temple dance function. I went last year when it was in Indianapolis, and it was so much fun. This year we did relay races as our outing. Even though we deserved 3rd place in one of the games, it was enjoyable (still a little salty). I danced till 1 am with blisters on my feet and my legs getting sore the more I danced. Still, it was amazing and it was fun to do this with my friends. Ally (a fellow Honors Ambassador) and I met this past week to talk about planning this year's first Honors outing. We are planning on doing a fall outing to a corn maze/ pumpkin patch!
School: This week in school flew by. This was the fastest week in my opinion. I got a 12/12 on my O Chem lab quiz, which I did not think was possible. I had my Physics lab report and Organic Chemistry lab report due back to back so that was hectic.
Student Ambassador: The welcome desk was quiet this week. I got maybe 10 calls in the hour. I also had a meeting with Dr. Gioielli (Honors Program director) to talk about Honors liaison updates. We talked about the fall outing and the giant group me I am going to arrange between everyone in the Honors Program. I worked the Latinx Film Festival last Tuesday. It was the movie Coco, which is one of my favorite Disney Pixar movies. Hawa ( another Student Ambassador) and I got students signed in, learned and used a popcorn maker, and gave popcorn out. The students were surprised that we were basically having a movie night with free popcorn and a movie at college. I felt like this was a good way for the students to take a break from studying and relax.
Pictures: The pictures are from the Wisconsin trip.
