Week 7

So far, this has been my favorite week of the fall semester. I had such a fun and exciting week! Today we had our dance performance. I get very frustrated when choreographing and teaching since the whole process takes so much time out of my schedule, but being up on the stage and seeing everything work out makes it worth it. I also got to be in a skit, which I haven't done in years.

School: This week at school was great since it was a three day week because of reading days. Also, there was no O chem and Physics labs, which made this week even more amazing and stress free.

Student Ambassador: I started off Monday with the welcome desk and Monday meeting. Tuesday, Hawa, Sarah, and I did the CPS Cohort Social. It was for Cincinnati Public School graduates. Even though three students showed up, I really got to know this one girl who had a lot on her plate. We were able to give advice and resources to her. My favorite event so far was the Propel OH Leadership Conference in Cleveland. Sarah, Matt, Gabby, Maddie, Celine, Stephanie, and I left Thursday in a minivan. It didn't seem like a long drive, but since we were jamming the whole time it went fast. Thursday night we went to the sauna, ordered 24 insomnia cookies between the 6 of us, played heads up, and walked around Downtown Cleveland. The conference was incredible. We got to listen to Senator Brown and so many other amazing speakers talk about childhood poverty. It was so eye opening and informative. On our way back, we stopped at the Cleveland sign and headed homewards. Saturday was our first Honors event and my first event as Honors Liaison of the fall semester at Blooms and Berries. Ally (fellow Honors Ambassador) and I were the leads. We had a couple of road blocks that same morning like her car having troubles so I picked her up, going to the wrong Blooms and Berries, and pizzas not delivering to the farm. But overall we had so much getting lost in a corn maze and doing the hayride.
