This week was a decent week. The highlight of my week was judging an overnight speech and debate competition. It was up north at Jackson High School by Cleveland. I got to judge all four rounds and the semi-final for dramatic interpretation. Everyone was so amazing, that some rounds were rough to rank the students. Speech events are always a lot of fun to watch. We had awards till 10:30 pm, and then dinner took 1 hour. We ended up getting back at 4 am, and then I had to wake up in two hours for a temple written exam. When I was getting ready too turn in my exam, I realized that I had my sister's exam booklet. Our names are very similar Divya and my sister Diya, but we usually can tell the difference if someone mixes it up. But it was so funny because we were running on limited sleep that Diya didn't even notice she took her exam in my booklet. So we took each other's exams without even noticing luckily it was the same exam.
School: School is going alright. Lots of stress because all my classes are building up with work. Physics Lab is my least stressful class. O Chem, O Chem Lab, and Physics are very stressful.
Student Ambassadors: I had my regular welcome desk shift, didn't get too many phone calls. My favorite event of this week was Open House. I helped with the large presentation room along with Celine, Stephanie, and Imari (other ambassadors). After that, I helped with the Honors Program breakout sessions with Ally (another Honors Program Ambassador). Even though only a couple of students showed up I was able to share my personal experiences and what the honors program has done for me. I did the last campus tour with a prospective student and his little brother. I always enjoy the smaller tours since that way I can make a personal connection and they feel more comfortable to ask questions. He really enjoyed the tour and was very interested in our campus. Friday morning was Community Dental Day. Maddie, Celine and I did line control for the free dental cleanings; which I think is awesome that they do that.
